« Στο ποιήμα Το πορτραίτο μιας γυναίκας (στην τρίτη συλλογή Λάγια) η Κριλή χρησιμοποιεί τη θύμηση ώστε να τιμήσει τις εμπειρίες της μάνας της, να επασυνδέσει το παρελθόν με το παρόν και την αστική ζωή με τη ζωή στην ύπαιθρο.
